All Disney Villainous Expansions (Updated 2023)

Welcome!

In this post, I'll be going through a list of all the current Disney Villainous Board Game Expansions. This will hopefully help you choose what expansions you want to buy next. 

There are currently 5 expansions for Disney Villainous and we can expect new ones to appear in the future. While Villainous Star Wars & Villainous Marvel are both villainous games, we'll not be covering them in this blog post as they are not compatible with Disney Villainous and therefore cannot be considered to be an expansion for that game. Keep an eye out for the expansion lists for Villainous Star Wars & Villainous Marvel in the future!

Now, let's get started with the list of expansions:

Disney Villainous: Wicked to the Core

Wicked to the Core (or Disney Villainous Expansion 1) is the first expansion for Disney Villainous. Each Disney Villainous expansion consists of 3 new villains to play with. In this box you'll get:

Evil Queen: Her objective is to find Snow White and defeat her. She is unique in that she doesn't have a vanquish action, but instead has to change power into poisons to defeat heroes.

Hades: The objective of Hades is to bring at least 3 untrapped Titans to the rightmost part of the board. Titans are a card type specific to Hades and always start on the left side of the board and trigger actions whenever they move.

Dr. Facilier: His objective is to play a card called the Talisman and find a card called Rule New Orleans in his fortune pile. His fortune pile is a mechanic specific to Dr. Facilier. Some cards allow him to place cards in his fortune pile and some trigger special effects when discovered from that pile.

Disney Villainous: Evil Comes Prepared

Disney Villainous: Evil Comes Prepared (or Disney Villainous Expansion 2) is the second expansion for Disney Villainous. In this box you'll get:

Ratigan: The objective of Ratigan is to play the Robot Queen and move her to the right-most spot on the map (Buckingham Palace). However, the Robot Queen can be discarded by the hero Basil. If this happens, then the win condition of Ratigan changes and he now has to defeat Basil to win the game.

Scar: His objective is to defeat Mufasa and to then keep on defeating heroes until the total strength of the defeated heroes is at least 15. 

Yzma: Her objective is to find Kuzco and defeat him. However, this isn't as easy as you would think. Yzma splits her fate deck into 4 separate decks corresponding to each of the locations on the board. Fate cards can also reorder those decks so that finding Kuzco becomes even more difficult.

Disney Villainous: Perfectly Wretched

Disney Villainous: Perfectly Wretched (or Disney Villainous Expansion 3) is the third expansion for Disney Villainous. In this box you'll get:

Cruella De Vil: Her objective is to find 99 puppies around the map and then capture them. Puppies either come in at 11 or 22 per token, so luck is a bit needed when finding the puppies.

Mother Gothel: The objective of Mother Gothel is to acquire at least 10 trust. She does this by keeping Rapunzel in her tower and by defeating heroes that try to rescue her. At the end of every turn, Rapunzel will get closer to the city of Corona.

Pete: His objective is to complete 4 goals. He starts the game by randomly choosing 4 goals out of the 5 goals that he has, placing them on the board spaces facing down. Only Pete knows the goals at the start of the game. 

Disney Villainous: Despicable Plots

Disney Villainous: Despicable Plots (or Disney Villainous Expansion 4) is the fourth expansion for Disney Villainous. In this box you'll get:

Gaston: Gaston starts the game with 8 obstacle tokens on the board (2 per location). His objective is to remove all those tokens. This can be done through playing certain cards, however, the fate deck is able to put those tokens back.

Horned King: The objective of the Horned King is a multi-step process. He first needs to retrieve the Cauldron and then activate it. After that, he needs to play Ancient Soldiers and replace them with Cauldron Born by use of the Cauldron. If all locations have a Cauldron Born, then Horned King wins the game.

Lady Tremaine: Her objective is to marry either Drizella or Anastasia to the Prince. This is done by unlocking the ballroom location and having either Ball Gown Drizella or Ball Gown Anastasia there when the wedding bells are activated.

Disney Villainous: Bigger and Badder

Disney Villainous: Bigger and Badder (or Disney Villainous Expansion 5) is the fifth expansion for Disney Villainous. In this box you'll get:

Lotso: The objective of Lotso is to reduce the strength of 4 heroes and have them all in the Caterpillar room together with Buzz Lightyear. This is done by playing cards or by vanquishing them. Whenever a hero gets vanquished, instead of removing them from the board, they'll lose all their strength.

Madame Mim: Her objective is to defeat all Merlin's transformations. The transformations are a specific card unique to Madame Mim and also form their own deck. There must always be one transformation on the board and certain cards of Madame Mim are able to deal with certain transformations.

Syndrome: Syndrome is also a character with a multistep win condition. He must upgrade his Omnidroid v.X8 to Omnidroid v.X9 by using them in vanquish actions and then also upgrade Omnidroid v.X9 to Omnidroid v.X10. After that, he needs to use the card Syndrome's Remote while on the same location as Omnidroid v.X10

Disney Villainous 6?

We can be quite certain that there will be more Disney Villainous expansions, but nothing has been announced so far. Especially with the other standalone games like Villainous Star Wars & Villainous Marvel, it might take a bit longer before they create a new Disney Villainous set as the focus will probably be on the newer games for now (depending on how good they'll sell).
